Merry Christmas
And in the passing of each year
the ages seem to haunt us
but for the ornaments we cheer
the memories they brought us
Remember Christmases of old
remember what they taught us
Ring in the new, ring out the old
see what they all have brought us
With each and every glimmering light
life seems to pass and taunt us
and yet we remember the passing years
not caring what they cost us
Raise a glass, lift a cheer
feel the excitment of a child
fill other loves with glee
and remember for a while
That Christmas comes but once a year
and as we decorate the tree
the memories are there to share
especially for you and me
